About Barbara Allen
Barbara studied The Alexander Technique privately for three years before enrolling in The Alexander Educational Center in Berkeley CA. She received her certification to teach upon completion of the Center's three-year intensive training.
Barbara has 25 years of experience in a variety of bodywork techniques, including 15 years as a practitioner of orthopedic massage, which focuses on the joints and their surrounding soft tissues.
Through ongoing work with Richard Blasband M.D. and Patricia Frisch Ph.D., Barbara has gained a working knowledge of our biological energy and its connection to our thoughts and emotions. This experience informs her unique approach to teaching the Alexander Technique.
